Metro DC PFLAG encompasses the Northern Virginia (Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudon County) and Maryland suburbs (Montgomery and Prince Georges County) as well as the District of Columbia.

Membership in PFLAG DC is open to anyone who supports our mission. Join us! The types of memberships are:

MEMBERSHIP in the local chapter automatically makes you a member of PFLAG National, our parent organization. If you do not wish to receive mailings from PFLAG National, check the boxes on the membership form. Becoming a member through National does not automatically make you a member of the chapter. Please join Metro DC PFLAG - we need your support for our local efforts. Your name will be kept confidential.

Why should you be a member of Metro DC PFLAG? Becoming a member ensures that you are counted among the many people that strive for a society that recognizes and respects all of its members – regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. As a member, you will continue to receive Metro DC PFLAG’s monthly newsletter, emails and other information about important initiatives, events, calls to action and other glbt community information. You will be invited to the annual meeting, where you can vote on important chapter issues, and you are eligible to serve on the board.

Our membership year runs from July 1, 2006–June 30, 2007. Memberships for 2007 should be received by November 15, 2006. Making a donation does not automatically provide membership, as some donors do not wish to be members. Only individuals and households submitting a membership form and dues become members.

DONORS contribute without becoming members, or make a contribution beyond the minimum membership fees. If you wish to contribute to our local chapter, but don't want active status, supporter membership is for you. No mailings are sent by the National organization.
